Our Individual 201 Enthusiast Day caters to the ultra-passionate car aficionado who isn’t content with just maintaining their vehicle(s) but aspire to elevate them to showroom-worthy perfection through correction and enhancement techniques. Tailored for those who’ve previously attended our 101 Enthusiast session, this advanced workshop session, with just you and your instructor, requires a solid foundation in preparation work and wash procedures, as the focus is predominantly on paint correction.
Throughout the day, participants will delve into a comprehensive range of topics, including:
- Understanding compound types and their chemistry.
- Approaching different paint types with precision.
- Pre-work decontamination wash, incorporating clay and clay pads, along with the pros and cons of various decontamination methods.
- Expert tips on masking and surface protection to safeguard delicate areas.
- Mastering lighting and inspection techniques for flawless results.
- Hands-on experience with machine work, covering Dual Action and Forced Rotation polishers to correct and enhance the paint surface.
- Delving into deeper defect removal methods, including scratch hand sanding for impeccable finishes.
- Exploring coatings, such as ceramic and polymer, and mastering their application techniques.
The day culminates with a comprehensive Q&A session, providing participants with the opportunity for personalised advice and guidance on any issues encountered during the workshop.
Given the intensive nature of the content, the workshop runs from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, with a break for lunch. Participants will be immersed in hands-on experiences throughout the day, working through all steps of a full correction process. Post-workshop, attendees are encouraged to further refine their skills by practising on their own vehicles, with ongoing support available if required.
Whilst the day is one-to-one, you can add up to two extra participants to your course at a 50% discounted rate.
The course is run from our fully equipped studio in the heart of Gloucestershire, with easy access to the M4/M5, and under an hour and a half to the M25.
