Whether you’re new to machine usage or seeking to refine your skills to a professional level this course offers a valuable opportunity to enhance your proficiency. Throughout the course, you’ll delve into defect assessment and solutions, lighting techniques, compound technology, machine handling, and efficiency strategies aimed at achieving professional-grade results.

Our one-day introduction to machine polishing  course is tailored for individuals want to get to grips with the fundamentals of machine polishing before trying it themselves.

Ideal for:

  • Those who have never had the opportunity to familiarise themselves fully with a machine before.
  • Individuals who have exclusively used an older style of machine and want to try newer techniques.
  • Participants who have limited themselves to entry-level machines, and are now seeking to upgrade or refine their skills, focusing on a specific style such as rotary, long throw DA, or forced drive.

Throughout the course, we cover a variety of machines, including the Rupes LHR 15/21, Duetto and Mille and the Flex XFE, XCE and PXE models. Additionally, we have a diverse selection of over 26 machines available in-house to try new things with anddevelop your technique. If you have a specific machine you’d like to bring along, please inform us on the day, and we’ll be glad to accommodate your preference.

Alternatively, if you already have basic experience and are happy with your technique you can get a comprehensive overview of various machine types by enrolling in our two-day Advanced Machine Polishing course.

The Introduction to Machine Polishing course not only focuses on hardware, but also delves into:

  • Identifying surface defects and contamination.
  • Implementing efficient and productive methods.
  • Preparing and decontaminating surfaces correctly.
  • Understanding paint readings.
  • Identifying defects.
  • Utilising paint thickness measurement techniques using Magnetic Resonance, Eddy Current, and Ultrasonic gauges.
  • Making informed decisions on polishing techniques.
  • Familiarise yourself with pad and compound types and select the appropriate ones.
  • Perfecting finishing techniques.
  • Exploring options for dressing, sealant/wax, and presentation.
  • Prioritising health and safety practices.

The primary objective of this course is to equip you with the confidence to operate a machine polisher across various scenarios, empowering you to practice and refine the necessary techniques, adapt them to different situations, and utilise the tools correctly to achieve full competency and fantastic results.
