Leather repair stands as one of the most in-demand additional services requested by detailing customers. With over 53% of new cars equipped with leather or faux leather interiors, the likelihood of requiring repair at some stage is high. From minor scuffs, which can be swiftly addressed in as little as 25 minutes with an average charge of £120, to more extensive interior re-colouring projects exceeding £1500, mastering leather repair has become indispensable for detailers. Not only does it enhance customer convenience and facilitate instant upselling of services, but it also serves as a cost-effective alternative to more expensive re-trimming options.

Our comprehensive three-day, one-to-one training course covers all aspects of leather repair, from initial cleaning and assessment to addressing common issues such as scuffs, rips, and tears. Participants will learn in-house colour matching and blending techniques, as well as repair and recolouring methods for steering wheels and plastic components. With ongoing technical support provided, graduates gain the skills and confidence to tackle leather repairs across a variety of vehicles. Upon completion, businesses have the opportunity to join the prestigious Colourlock Accredited leather repair network, offering benefits such as Colourlock branding and accredited-level discounts on tools, consumables, and materials.

For those seeking a complete solution, our Colourlock Leather Repair Technician (LRT) master kit includes essential tools, materials, and a colour system for custom paint blending.
